Free Pass builds its whole story on a single word: yes. The protagonist is a wife raised under strict rules of conduct, ten years into a marriage she has never once questioned, and the free pass she receives removes the one thing that made the question moot. Nothing forces her hand. That is precisely what makes the dilemma work.

Having her as the protagonist matters. Most games in our catalog would put you in the husband's chair and make this a story about what happens to him. Here you sit with her, in the gap between what she was raised to be and what she now has permission to want, and After Choices lets both answers stay genuinely available.

Worth knowing

Season 1 is complete at version 1.8, so you can actually finish this one, which is rarer here than it should be. The flip side is that the buildup is deliberately slow and the writing occasionally leans on cultural contrast more heavily than the characters need.
