NPC Tales
The shopkeeper only moves when the game tells her to. You noticed.
The concept is the reason to try this. Everyone around you behaves like a video game NPC, standing idle until a mechanic fires, repeating their line, waiting for input. Your character is the only one who sees the machinery, and the free use fantasy comes out of that gap rather than from a magic spell or a mind control device. It is a smarter framing than the genre usually manages, and the monster girls in the cast work with it instead of against it.
Point and click suits the idea too, since clicking on people to make them respond is exactly what the fiction is about. D.mon Games calls this a technical demo for a larger project, and at 12 MB it opens quickly on a phone.
Manage your expectations
A demo is what you get. Version 0.45 is one shopkeeper and a handful of scenes, and it stops without anything like a story. The art is AI generated and it shows in the usual places, with hands and background details that fall apart if you look at them. Try it for the idea and to see whether the full project is worth following. Free in the browser above.
