Stellar Dream

The setup does real work. You are aboard a colony ship looking for somewhere humanity can live, three expeditions have already failed, and every scout sent down to check a candidate planet has gone silent. Finding them is your job. Winterlook wraps that in systems rather than a click-through script: five attributes you raise over time, ground combat on hostile planets, and conversations where your communication skill decides whether an alien species cooperates.

The alien romances are the part that sets it apart. The species are written with their own priorities instead of being humans with different skin tones, and solving what a group actually needs pays out in progress as well as scenes. You also get to decide what kind of person your character is, from earnest romantic to commanding officer, and the crew responds to it. For 18 MB the scope is unexpectedly wide.

Be aware

Version 0.61 is mid development and it shows at the edges. Some planets are thinner than others, a few threads stop with nothing resolved, and the stat grind between story beats can feel like filler.
